My Wife Got Me Storage Shed Blueprints For My Birthday!
By Mark J Helmsman

I turned the big 40 last week, and it was kind of a bummer. My wife threw a surprise party for me, complete with gravestones and “Lordy, Lordy Mark is 40″ t-shirts. It was fun, don’t get me wrong, but getting older is kind of a drag.

Oh yeah, and her gift to me was a set of storage shed blueprints. Great, I got a “chore” for my birthday!

Well, I took that as a big “hint” that we were accumulating too much stuff and it was time to build a something to store it all. And they were more like storage shed plans as opposed to true storage shed blueprints. They have everything blueprints have, like schematics, measurements, etc., but these include step by step instructions on how to build the shed.

So, guess what I am doing this weekend?

Well, the first thing I did was I figured out where I was going to put the shed. In doing some preliminary looking around I found that the site of the shed is probably the most important step. This is because you want to make sure you get the right storage shed blueprints for the size of your site. Luckily, we have some wide open space with not too many trees, so fitting the storage shed is not an issue.

Another cool thing these storage shed blueprints came with was a materials list. In all the projects I have done in my life, I have to say that a materials list has been the one thing that has saved me a ton of money. I mean, I’ve done those “wing-it” trial and error projects before and spent about double what I should have spent. Not to mention the 83 trips I had to make to the hardware store!

So, I followed the directions and bought all of the needed materials. I then cut all of the pieces according to the cutting list. This is another essential thing to have because some of the cuts on a shed like this can get tricky. It’ll save you money and keep you from getting too frustrated.

It’s actually almost done

I am in the middle of it right now and should be done in about 2 weeks. It’s turning out pretty nice so far, and we are looking forward to organizing our stuff in there once its finished. And the storage shed blueprints have turned out to be a great birthday gift, even though turning 40 wasn’t too fun.

You ought to check out the storage shed blueprints she got me. She got them at http://www.Barn-Shed-Plans.com. Let me know what you think.
