Everyone loves Ice Cream and who wouldn’t want to get a free ice cream for their birthday? Every year I print out coupons for ice cream to Cold Stone Creamery.

Register for their birthday club at Cold Stone Creamery. The coupon is good for two weeks and my family loves it. The company sends you an email that your coupon is ready to print. You can only have four people registered with one email address.

Check with local restaurants and register for birthday clubs. Yes, they will send you email marketing in return for giving you free food.

Tucanos grill will send you a free dinner coupon when you register at their website and you have your birthday month to cash it in. Value about $15.

Registering at Baja Fresh and Papa Murphy’s will get you coupons and discounts.

The key to finding these deals is to check with the restaurants website. Find a place you frequent and surf their websites for birthday clubs and newsletters.

If you are willing to put up with some marketing emails in exchange for free food then sign up!

Some restaurants have unadvertised specials. If you have little ones and like McDonalds check out Tuesday’s special–half-off kids meals from 5pm to 7pm. Even if you are not a kid this can be a fun Tuesday pick-up. I like to collect the toys. Sonic offers half-off drinks everyday from 2pm to 4pm. KFC has a special on Wednesdays, chicken fried steak dinner for $3. Del Taco has half-price tacos on Tuesdays after 3pm.

Be sure to check with your local restaurant to see if they offer these deals.

I am not a big gambler but I have signed up for a players card when I do. Now I get specials to entice me back with free hotel rooms and discounts on food. With a little advance planning you can save big.

Memberships offer discounts on movie tickets and sporting events. My credit union has a perks page offering discounts on movie tickets and hockey games.

The best advice for finding free stuff or discounts is to look for them. It only takes some time and effort.
